The IHSS Program will help pay for services provided to you so that you can remain safely in your own home. To be eligible, you must be over 65 years of age, or disabled, or blind.  Disabled children are also eligible for IHSS.  IHSS is considered an alternative to out-of-home care, such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.

You may be eligible for IHSS if you:

My Son Death -Cause The Start of My Business

If Terell hadn't died that cold winter day in December, I wouldn't started my business. Here's my story:

We were watching TV when Terell took his last breath. Terell died from asthma. After Terell died I realized how short life is. There's an old saying "Here today..gone tomorrow". What I've learned is the opposite "Here today..Gone today. From that moment I started thinking about what I wanted out of life? What can I do to help others? I've always been in the medical field , Direct care worker, Medical assistant, Home health assistant, and Certified nurse assistant.. Twenty plus years.

My Son Sudden Death Cause The Start Of My Business- Home care

I started A home care agency in 2008. In memory of Terell . Rels Homecare Corp. I take much pride in my business for Two reasons. 1. I love what I do, It's my passion, I feel it in my Heart, Soul, and Mind. and 2.My business honors my son.

Rels Homecare Corp. Provides non medical services to person in the privacy and comforts of their own home's. Our services Include:

Bath visits

Companionship

Homemaking

Personal care and Grooming

In home respite care

Medication reminders

One of our famous features at Rels Homecare Corp is the Free service we provide on the 15th of every month. This is an non ending offer. I started this offer when I started my business. My love for what I do is so strong .Especially for my senior citizens . The cost of home care can be very expensive and most senior citizens can't afford the care. So I give them a choice of any of our services for free once a month. I wouldn't have it any other way.

However, I never would've presued my dream if my son Terell had not died. Realizing how short life really is.

About caring heart

Hello, I started a non-medical homecare agency in 2007. I started it 3 years after the death of my son. who died from asthma. his name was Terell. My company name is Rels Homecare Corp.

In memory of Terell. At first things were going well considering I had just started.I had the clients (I also work in a nursing home). I've been in the healthcare field for 20 years. I wanted to start a business where I could really help people. So I decided to go where my heart is. which is helping my senior citzens and disable people. I love my senior citzens.people always ask me why I say "my senior citizens" It's because I have so much love in myheart, soul, and mind for them. At Rels homecare corp we offer services in personal care, homemaking, in home respite, and companionship. I offer free services on the 15th of every month. I have been advised this is not good business practice. But, I do it anyway.

I make extra money to pay my staff for these free services to clients by working my regular job. I can't get any loans, grants, and I found the SBA is more harder and stricker than most banks. I dont know what to do.

I started this business with the money in my pocket and the determination to make it work. I would work 200 hours a pay peroid (at my regular job) just to make this work. I dont charge my clients a lot of money because most are on fixed incomes. I been told i'm the cheapest homecare agency around.

But now it seem so hard without geting some type of assistance. I try to do everything from fund raiser to everything to raise money to help with the care of my clients, But so far i've been unsuccessful. If anyonehas any ideas please help

Thank You

Caring Heart
